Exciting Times At Hanover Reserve

Hello Hanover Reserve clients, friends, and family! We are so happy to share some exciting news with all of you!

It’s been a tumultuous time full of unforeseen experiences. When we opened Hanover Reserve Event Center and Wedding Venue in May, no one would have guessed that just a few short months later we would have had a fire derail our plans. If you hadn’t heard, the night of October 17th, 2021, a fire broke out during a wedding reception. Thankfully no one was hurt and the fire was eventually brought under control and put out. But to say it was a surprise would be a vast understatement.

Aside from the fire itself, we’ve been surprised by the outpouring of love and support we’ve received from our friends and family as well as the surrounding community at large. So many people stopped by just to say hello, offer a shoulder to cry upon, a handshake of encouragement, or to voice availability to help with the clean-up efforts. You will never know how much those simple acts of friendship meant during such a difficult and trying time.

Also surprising has been the rumors swirling about. We’ve heard all sorts of rumors as friends and family have reached out to us. Everything from ‘we are shutting down forever’, or ‘the venue is being sold’. One news outlet reported that the building was a complete loss before the fire was even extinguished. But we are not shaken by this. Instead, we are reminded of Psalm 37:25: “I have been young, and now I am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

Had we sat down and scripted what our first year in business would have looked like, you can bet we wouldn’t have written in a fire and the difficult month we’ve had as a business, as a family, and as a service provider to so many young men and women who were gracious enough to let us share their special day with them. But as that verse reminds us, we know we are not forsaken, this too shall pass and, though it might seem cliche, when times get tough, the tough get going.

And that’s what we aim to do.

Still, let us take a moment to address whatever rumors we can. We are not shutting down, we are not selling, and the building was not a complete loss. Those things couldn’t be further from the truth.

Instead, we are just so happy to tell you all we will be reopening again soon and we couldn’t be more excited to get back to doing what we love: providing a special place for the most special of your days.

There is still a lot to be worked out. We wish we could give dates, but sadly, we cannot just yet. It’s barely been a month since the fire, but we do have many wonderful things to tell you.

For one thing, progress has been made with our insurance company and we’ve been given the go-ahead to get started ordering what we need to get the building reconstruction underway. The initial clean-up phase is nearly completed. We expect to have a plan of action worked out with all parties in the coming days. The partners have voted and we’ve even selected a general contractor. Of course, there is still much to do.

Contracts are being written up, calls are being made, and each and every day brings a flurry of progress in and around Hanover. Each day we get a step closer to opening once more.

How exciting is that?

Pretty soon couples will be right back here, starting their new lives together!

Obviously, everyone wants to know when. We sincerely wish we could say when, but it’s just not possible at this moment to give exact dates. We are predicting a six-month rebuild once reconstruction begins in earnest, but no one can say for sure just yet. We need everyone to keep their fingers crossed!

By all accounts, it’s probable we will be having weddings again in the summer of 2022!

While the news around the rebuild is certainly momentous, that’s not the only thing happening.

Far from it!

We will be making several enhancements to our website including an improved contact form, enhanced photos, and a place you can visit to get updates on the rebuilding process. In the coming weeks, we will also be launching a new and improved relationship management application with a streamlined contract and invoicing system for making selections and choosing amenities, digital signatures, and online payment processing. But we are most excited about the included bridal party portal system.

With this new application, anyone booking Hanover Reserve will have their very own portal site to sign into (no matter the type of event). All communication will be visible to them as decisions are tracked, proposals are sent and signed, and invoices collected. If you’re booking Hanover for a wedding or wedding reception, you can now select options like your chair layout and drink package through our online portal. Not only that, you can now upload your engagement photos and have a view that’s customized with all the information about your special day in a single place. As your day approaches you will receive notifications to remind you of upcoming meetings, decisions, and payments - all in an effort to streamline the process to make your special day as headache-free as possible.

We could go on and on because there is just so much happening here at Hanover Reserve. As more information becomes available, we will be posting it here on our website.
